The frames will accommodate both Trojan shoot bolts and espagnolette locking systems. Available in a through colour profile (where the colour exists on the inside reveals), these premium uPVC windows are very attractive when open and closed.
The entire range is available with a laminated veneer, known in the industry as a foil. Available in a range of period colours, the foil covers the entire profile, while the rebates are designed without sharp corners (for ease of cleaning).
The hardware range includes real or dummy butt hinges, alongside a range of matching handles and peg stays. The dummy butt hinges allow for the use of contemporary high compression friction hinges, while the dummy butt hinge remains visible on the outside frame.
This superior product range has been designed with Article 4 conservation areas in mind, and replicates the dimensions and appearance of 19th century flush casement windows.
The corners of the windows are even available as mechanical joints, for a traditional timber joint appearance.
At London Timber Windows and Doors Ltd, we’ve always considered ourselves timber purists who have long blamed uPVC for ruining the look of many of our wonderful London and home county period properties.
But, like many of the conservation areas who are now accepting this product, we have to admit that the next generation of uPVC windows are redressing the balance.
If you’re changing the style of your doors or windows, or are looking to build a new conservatory or orangery, our complimentary ‘before and after’ design simulation service may prove helpful in the decision-making process. We’ll offer this alongside our estimates, so that you might visualise exactly which design will be most aesthetically sympathetic to
your property.
In our experience, it’s only when you actually see the computer-generated options simulated onto a photo of your home, that you’re able to make the final call on what is likely to work best. (Don’t be surprised if the option that looked like the winner on paper is superseded by another design!)
You can give us a steer of your likes and dislikes from the galleries, or we can arrange for a designer to visit and show you the possibilities.
Once you’ve chosen your shortlist of options, we’ll simulate these onto your home so that you can make a truly informed final decision.
Before arranging a home visit you can now get an accurate quotation and scale drawings by simply sending us photographs and any rough measurements you may have.
If you know your main needs with regards to the products and design of your project - great - if not, we can help and advise where necessary.
Use the submission box to make contact, or email to info@london-twd.co.uk or call us on 020 3011 1444 and we will be more then happy to assist you with any questions. We can arrange a free home visit to take measurements and go through your options at any stage. We look forward to hearing from you.
