High-Performance Tilt and Turn Windows
Simply lift the handle up and tilt the window back towards you for safe ventilation, or pull the handle down and open the window inwards – as you would a door for easy cleaning and fire escape access.
Tilt and turn windows can be manufactured from timber, aluminium or uPVC. For the most part, they have one opening sash with no transoms or mullions.
That said, sliding sash windows can be engineered to have a tilt and turn function in addition to the usual sliding function.
